The UV index reaches 10 to 12, even on a cloudy day, and most of all high in the mountains.
A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and long-sleeved clothes help a lot.

Galápagos National Park rules

Keep a distance of 2 meters from the animals.
No touching and no feeding. Not even "just a crumb".
Take photos without flash.
Walk only on the marked trails and only with the park guide.
Take nothing from the islands: no stones, no sand, no shells and no plants.
Do not leave trash
No smoking at the visitor sites.

In the rainforest

Do not leave the trail, not even for a few meters.
Do not touch frogs, insects or plants you do not know.
Look before you grab a trunk or a branch.
Long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes on walks.
